Job Responsibilities

· Oversee and manage all financial and accounting responsibilities and operations of the business.

· Implement finance and accounting strategy, structure, and processes.

· Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition

· Monthly and Annual Financial Reporting.

· Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

· Ensure accounting accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.

· Perform cost accounting methods such as cost updates, pricing updates, inventory reconciliations, input inventory cycle counts and other related functions.

· Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

· Perform payroll with our PEO partner and ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.

· Evaluating and managing risk.

· Coordinating audit processes.

· Willingness to work at level with other team members to understand their pain points and implement actions to create a more efficient/effective job role.

· Absolute integrity and discretion with confidential financial information.

 

Controller Qualifications/Skills:

 

· Proven track record as a team leader with an understanding of management practices and leadership.

· Proven experience in finance management.

· Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

· Experience creating financial statements.

· Experience with general ledger functions and the financial reporting processes.

· Excellent software user and administration skills.

· Analytical problem-solving skills with an impeccable attention to detail.

· Ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvement.

· Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals.

· Proficiency in management of information systems.

· High-bandwidth activity to do what it takes to get the job done.
