Air Filter Change Out Service
Our service offers the following features:
-
Our service management group will develop and propose a plan to service all air filters in the areas requested. This plan will identify all filters by their size, type, and location. A formal proposal will then be submitted for pricing and standards approval. After receiving the “go ahead”, Kleen Air will complete an extensive survey and submit complete findings.
- Kleen Air will submit samples of all types of filters to be used and their corresponding efficiency data verification from an independent laboratory. All filter types and requirements are available.
- Kleen Air will supply all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and transportation to service, as scheduled, all air filtration needs. All expenses incurred are included in the quoted price.
- Kleen Air will provide a visual inspection report for locations where accessible, showing any equipment problems or potential problems. This has proven to save expensive repairs when early detection was reported. A copy of this inspection report is included.
- Kleen Air can service accounts with multiple locations in several states, as we presently have more than 53 warehouse locations across the country.
- Our service techs live where they work. Your maintenance department will learn to appreciate their ability to provide prompt attention, and meet the unique service needs in their geographic area. Kleen Air will provide a toll-free office number and cell phone numbers of key employees.
- Kleen Air will provide same day service where possible for emergencies such as fire, etc., at no additional trip charge. Charges will be limited to additional filters and filter labor only.
- Kleen Air will provide a full service schedule for every location to designated personnel.
- Kleen Air can advise the Maintenance Supervisor, or his representative, as to which locations will be serviced on a weekly schedule.
- Kleen Air can prevent air leaks. We also eliminate air restricting “spacers” by customizing air filters if necessary to fill the allowable space. We can even vacuum return and supply air grilles.
Member of the
National Air Filtration Association
Just because someone sells air filters does not mean they are experts in the field. And just because your bid request requires air filters does not mean you will get the very best, most efficient products on the market.
What you need is an honest professional – someone with an established reputation and years of experience in the air filtration industry. After all, you trust them with nothing less than the air you breathe.
The only way to ensure quality workmanship and peace of mind is to work with a Certified Air Filtration Specialist (CAFS) accredited by the National Air Filtration Association (NAFA). These specialists are tested not only on the fundamentals of air filtration, but also on the very latest filter technology applications. More importantly, each CAFS puts their signature on a pledge to adhere to NAFA’s rigid Policies and Procedures and Code of Ethics.
Kleen Air Research, Inc., as a member of the National Air Filtration Association, has agreed to conduct its filtration business under the Code of Ethics, which includes promises:
-
Serve clients with integrity, competence and objectivity
-
Be honest, accurate and forthright in advertising
-
Provide clients with accurate inspections and evaluations
-
Employ personnel who possess the appropriate knowledge
-
Stay abreast of new developments in technology and building codes

Be fair and reasonable with fees
-
Be accessible to inquiries or complaints

Components and Construction of the
ENVIROSHIELD ® Pleated Air Filter
Grid
Kleen Air will be using a 1.25 LWD metal grid. The grid will be .010 in thickness and galvanized to prevent rusting. This grid will hold the pleats in place and have an effective open face area of not less than 95%. Most companies today are using a 1.50 LWD. The 1.25 will make Kleen Air filters more rigid.
Media
The filter media is produced from reinforced non-woven cotton fibers. The media has a high dust retention capacity due to the crinkly fibers, which offers maximum surface area. The media is treated with a fire retardant additive for safety purposes. We have tests for this media that show a 26% dust spot efficiency. The arrestance value is 92%. Most pleat manufacturers “guarantee” a 20-25% efficiency with a 90-92% arrestance value.
Frame
The pleat frame is constructed of rigid, heavy duty, moisture resistance beverage board. We will be using a 26 point board where most of our competitors are using 24 point board. This gives us more rigidity and a better pleat. The support members of the frame serve an integral part on a pleated filter. They are bonded to the pleat on both sides to ensure pleat spacing and stability. The frame is bonded to the media on the inside of the frame to eliminate the possibility of air bypass. The frame is made of two die-cut pieces and when assembled, the four outer walls are double thick. Once assembled, with the heavier board and stronger wire, our pleated filter will be extremely durable and will not warp under normal conditions.
Construction
Kleen Air’s pleat machines are rotary pleaters that will make the same pleat pattern at all times. The designed pattern, a “radial V” shape, creates a wide space between adjacent pleats which have been set on pre-determined centers. This design will allow a parabolic pocket formation. This causes unequal static pressure to be exerted over the entire surface of the pleat with the least resistance gradually increasing up the sides of the pleat. This process allows uniform dust loading and full media utilization. Then we cut to length the filter media and enclose it in the frame. The important part here is to make sure all cross members of the frame are bonded to the pleats, as this is what maintains our pleat shape. We must also make sure that all media sides are bonded to frame sides eliminating the possibility of air bypass. Then we put it into a compression chamber that holds pressure on all four sides, as well as on top and bottom of the filter, until it is bonded.
