Service Route Technician
Job Overview
This position requires a very good driving record. Each applicant for this position must pass a DOT physical and drug screen, and a criminal felony background check. You must also agree to adhere to all company policies including a ZERO tolerance to the use of all tobacco products and illegal drugs.You will be required to travel, as necessary. Estimated travel is included in the detail for each job opening. The company pays the cost of the motel room, and, in addition, to assist with your meal expenses, a daily per diem is paid for the nights spent away from home.This position requires you to be able to climb high ladders. You must be able carry bulky materials of 25-50 lbs. Agility is a must, as you will often be required to climb over, under, and around numerous obstacles to perform your work. You will be on your feet most of the workday. You will be required to work in most weather conditions. A typical week will begin early Monday morning and end on Friday with 40-55 hours. Rarely less hours, and rarely more hours, will be required. Sundays are never required, and Saturdays only if conditions during the work week require a Saturday make-up day.Company provided items include: All training, tools, equipment, service vehicle, vehicle expenses, filters, uniforms, mail supplies and postage, filter storage, tolls, per-diems, and motel expenses.
In addition to exchanging dirty air filters for clean filters, the Service Route Technician must contribute in the following areas of responsibilities:
| 1.) | Techs are responsible to assist in unloading filter truck when it delivers to your territory 4-6 times per year. |
| 2.) | Techs must learn to identify problems, seek solutions, and do what is necessary to maintain the customer base. |
| 3.) | Techs must attend training meetings and company sponsored events, as required. |

| 1.) | Complete paperwork at each service stop and recap the week at the end of the route. |
| 2.) | Communications are extremely important. |
| 3.) | Provide work direction to other technicians as required. |
| 4.) | The manager will be required to arrange for vehicle care and maintenance. |
| 5.) | The manager is responsible for storage area and inventory records. |
| 6.) | Managers are responsible for unloading filters upon delivery to the local storage facility 4-6 times per year. |
| 7.) | Managers must identify problems, seek solutions, and do whatever is necessary to maintain the customer base. |
| 8.) | Correspond with the home office and Regional Service Manager. |
| 9.) | Attend training meetings and company sponsored events, as required. |
